About us

First Avenue Funeral Home is an established funeral home started in 1992 by our director, Prue Gillespie. We are a dedicated team committed to being of service to our community. This is a difficult time for our families and we have listened and learnt to assist our families as best we can.  We service the Eastern Cape, are close to the hospitals and the crematorium. Our professional staff carefully guide proceedings to ensure a dignified service. We help families across South Africa and abroad using live-streaming from our lovely chapel at First Avenue, as well the churches, halls and other venues. We are honoured to serve.
